Hi again. I just found out about Prezi, an amazing, zooming presentation tool. The concept: imagine that you jotted all of your ideas about an upcoming presentation / lesson plan down on a napkin...now imagine that you can use that napkin as your presentation. I like to think of it as a non-linear form of powerpoint, but much cooler.
Need to Know:
1. Movie Clips can be embedded in prezi but must be in an flv (flash movie) format. I used the "any video converter" to convert my flip camera movie clip to the flv format.
2. Presentations can be downloaded and saved to be used offline later. This is great for a presentation or traveling teacher who cannot rely on an internet connection.
Here is a prezi presentation I created in about an hour. There are three videos embedded and a couple of pictures. It takes a while to get used to the controls, but after the initial learning curve it becomes very intuative. Click HERE for the sample Prezi presentation.
